North America Program Support Fund for Mandals
This initiative is designed to promote inter-Mandal collaboration, provide greater exposure to local talent, and strengthen cultural connections across the Marathi community in North America.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for funding under the North America Program Support Fund, the following criteria must be met:
- Regional Collaboration: The program must promote collaboration among Mandals by featuring a performing group from the host Mandal that travels to one or more other cities.
- Purpose of the Funding: This funding is not intended for performances hosted within the host Mandal’s own city. The host Mandal may support its local performance using its own funds, if desired. - Minimum Number of Performers: The performing group must include at least eight (8) artists from the host Mandal.
- Host Mandal Contribution: The host Mandal must provide partial financial support for the program.
- Funding Recipient: BMM funding will be provided only to the host Mandal and not directly to the performing group or individual artists.
- Use of Funds: The host Mandal is responsible for ensuring that the funds are used solely for the approved program.
- Membership Requirement: The host Mandal may require participating performers to be registered members of the Mandal, if applicable.
- Maximum Funding: Each eligible Mandal may receive up to $2,500 from BMM per approved program.
