Online Conversational Marathi Language Training Class

Objectives

  • To introduce the basics of the Marathi language
  • To facilitate conversation in Marathi
  • To provide an introduction to Marathi culture

Duration: 15 Sessions
Course Concept is based on the
"My Marathi" project by the German Department of Mumbai University and other resources.

  • Timing: Every Saturday or Sunday, sessions lasting 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Guidance by experienced teachers.

Our Special Features

  •  The maximum amount of time in the course will be dedicated to learning
    communication skills.
  • Each student will be guided on pronunciation of words and sentences
    during the class, and corrections will be provided if needed.
  • A book or PDF with the course material, or a link to it, will be sent.
  • Limited number of students, allowing for individual attention.

Course Rules

  • Open to both men and women.
  • Notifications will be shared via WhatsApp group for everyone’s convenience.
  • Participants must have their video on during sessions.

The overall coverage consists of 5 main sections:

  • Basic grammar
  • Sanskrit stories
  • Subhashitani (shlokas)
  • Sanskrit Songs
  • Everyday conversation in
  • Sanskrit and games in Sanskrit.

Each session will be covering areas from multiple sections mentioned above.

  • Duration – 16 weeks inclusive of 1 week study leave for exam preparation ; as the
    teaching mode is predominantly oral, there may be possibility of increase in the
    duration of the course by a week or two.

  • Age group – above 14 years; knowledge of Devanagari is essential.

  • Classes – One online session of 1.5 to 2 hours each per week

  • Each class to have not more than 12 students.

  • For each one’s convenience, instructions will be given through a WhatsApp
    Group

  • While the session is on everyone must put on the video

  • Self Study – 3-4 hours per week; Regular homework will be given to the students

  • Course Material will be provided by BMM in collaboration with Surawanee Dnyan
    Mandir

  • Reference Books – Abhyas Pustakam, Vibhakti Vallari, Chitramaya Pada Kosha

  • During the course emphasis would be given on Sambhashan.

  • For Subhashitani, Shlokas and Geetani audios will be provided.

  • Certification by BMM and Surawanee Dnyan Mandir, Thane.
